Toldi Géza Memorial and Sport Park
Sukoró is very proud of the Toldi Géza Emlékpark és Sportpark (Toldi Géza Memorial and Sport Park)
The establishment was named after Géza Toldi (1909-1985), one of the most prominent football players in Hungary, who was a world championship silver medalist and four-time Hungarian champion. He played in 324 matches in the Hungarian national league, and scored 271 goals.
The benches and the resting areas offer comfort, while the drinking fountains provide refreshment during exercise. The Toldi Géza Emlékpark és Sportpark is open for both young and old, and it is a perfect place for doing sports, to relax or to participate in community events.
The sports park offer several sport activities for every age group:
- Multifunctional field: field with an all-weather tartan coverage, tall sport fencing and lighting; equipped with goals and four streetball hoops for the sport fans. The multifunctional field can be used for basketball, futsal and handball, too.
- Pétanque field: two side-by-side fields wait for enthusiasts of this ballgame that originated in France.
- Beach volleyball field: a sand-covered field with rubber border and adjustable tension net offer a perfect environment for the volleyball lovers.
- All-weather running track: a cca. 200 m long and one meter wide track, perfect for running and jogging.
- Outdoor gym with a thatched roof: a unique, shaded, rubber-covered outdoor gym with 10 different pieces of street workout equipment.
- Football pitches: the park also contains both a grass-covered and an artificial football field; a tennis court has also been painted on the latter, so tennis fans will not be left without the opportunity to play in Sukoró.
